In this world where we are more “connected” then ever before it seems ironic that all our new devices and “social networks” seem to actually curtail our real connectedness. One has to ask, what kind of culture are we creating when people get together in bars, clubs and cafes only to turn their backs on one another, drop their heads and begin tapping letters and symbols into a machine?
What the hell people!
Have the social networking giants like myspace (I know sooooo yesterday), facebook and twitter ripped out our tongues? You say “yes!” Then now is the time to spit out our gags and throw away our machines, or at least put them down for a few hours, and come together to enjoy a back to basics, face-to-face real conversation.
Yes, your friends, family, favorite furry critters and even that cute girl sitting across from you, or that handsome bloke standing by the jukebox deserve more.
We can do this... we have the voices to change the world! Now is the time to take a stand on behalf of our generation and the future generations to come. We must all rise up against our dependency on machines and pave the way towards a world where clear speech and true communication rule.
So stand tall and shout it out loud..."I have had enough and I am not taking this crap anymore!"
For the sake of us all my friends, the time for battle is now! Let us join together and bring pure, old-fashioned face-to-face conversation and true laughter back into our lives, enough of that "lol".
